Lilly widens GLP-1 injectable lead over Novo but lags on oral sales

Eli Lilly’s injectable GLP-1 lead over Novo Nordisk is growing, with Lilly’s Mounjaro bringing in $9.9 billion in the second quarter, nearly doubling the revenue of Novo’s Ozempic. But sales for Lilly’s newly launched oral GLP-1 trailed those for its Novo counterpart, which brought in five times more revenue.
